How our free home-visit valuation works
Booking takes a moment by phone, WhatsApp, or our online form. At a time that suits you, an enhanced DBS-checked, fully insured specialist comes to your home and assesses each piece in front of you, weighing and testing the metal, examining hallmarks, stones, and maker’s marks, and pricing everything against the live market. We explain exactly how each figure is reached, answer your questions, and leave you to decide in your own time. There is never any pressure to sell and never a charge for the visit. If you accept our offer, you are paid the same day by bank transfer or cheque, with no commission and no deductions.
What we buy — and the valuations we provide
We buy gold and silver jewellery, platinum and palladium, loose and mounted diamonds and coloured gemstones, luxury and vintage watches, gold sovereigns and bullion coins, antique and estate pieces, scrap and broken gold, and designer costume jewellery. From a single inherited brooch to a complete collection, every item is weighed, tested, and valued on its own merits, so you always know what you have and what it is genuinely worth.
Valuations for selling are always free and carry no obligation. For other purposes we also provide formal written valuations: insurance (replacement) valuations and probate (date-of-death) valuations for executors, which are charged according to the number of items and the time involved. Whatever your reason — selling, insuring, or settling an estate — we help you choose the right type of valuation before we begin.
Local home visits across the South Coast
Our home-visit service covers Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, and the surrounding towns and villages, with regular visits across Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, Sussex, and Surrey. Rather than carrying valuable items into town or trusting them to the post, you have an expert come to you — a safer, simpler, and more discreet way to find out what your jewellery, watches, and precious metals are really worth.
